"Year Round Outreach Program"

The Coalition was the first to recognize and serve the needs of the chronically homeless in the Elizabeth area; those who live on the streets year-round. In 1996, we founded Operation Warm Heart, our winter shelter that serves the indigent during the coldest months, December to March. Many of these individuals are immigrants or have recently been released from prison and have no other options. With the help of local churches and community groups, up to 14 homeless individuals are given clothing, toiletries, a hot meal, and a warm bed each night of the week.

 

We need volunteers to help cook meals, provide hospitality, or sort donations to make personal kits for each guest. Fill out the form on our volunteer page if you or your group can help.​
