HOSPITALITY HOUSES:

Our Hospitality House apartments always need household cleaning supplies, laundry detergent, paper goods (paper towels, napkins, toilet paper, aluminum foil, garbage bags, etc.)

With the reopening of the recently renovated Vincent’s House apartments, we need all the basics for homemaking: 8 sets of twin sheets, 4 sets of double sheets, quilts or bedspreads for 2 bunk beds and 2 double beds, 8 sets of complete bath linens, laundry baskets, dishes for 12 persons, silverware, pots and pans, cooking and serving utensils, toaster, coffeepot, teakettle, microwave oven, plastic containers, basic baking pans (roaster, 8” square pan, casserole 1 &2 quart, cookie sheet, mixing bowls, wet and dry measuring cups and spoons, mixing spoon, scraper), kitchen towels etc. We need items like lamps, pictures for the walls and area rugs as well. Please call Sr. Maryanne Tracey at 908-355-7094 for details. One idea would be to hold a house warming for Vincent’s House.

PROJECT GATEKEEPER:

Bus Tickets are always needed.  Purchase bus tickets (1, 2, 3 and/or 4 zones) for our clients to get to shelters, detox, and to work.  We frequently have to send our clients to shelters in Plainfield and Newark (or further) and then get them to their place of employment.  Also, Union County has no inpatient detox programsfor the indigent, so we refer our clients in need to Bergen Regional Medical Center — that takes about 12 zones!
